This would be a good image for the “Rockwell” treatment.

Thank you @AiDon, @ellemat2 and @BobKramer for your views and comments.

@ellemat2 are you referring to using an oil paint look to it?

Yup Rockwell treatment would look good. And that group look as though they didn’t really need much of an excuse

It’s more of an illustrative look than an oil paint one…SmartArtDezign’s Chess in Kalemegdam is a recent one that maintains the characteristics in the subject’s rugged faces but doesn’t look like a photograph, Bob Kramer’s street people photographs have the same quality. Biz Sim in Simplify is a good starting place with tweaks. Your Bastille Day characters have great potential for this look and your post work already has you most of the way there.

Thanks for the tip @ellemat2, I appreciate it and will give it a try.

Thanks @Kathy_9 and @KenKv for your feedback comments.

Tried using Simplify and a little Impression 2 to give this image a slight Rockwell / illustrative look as @ellemat2 suggested. Not sure how successful I was, but it does give it a different look…I think?

Looks good to me. I seem to gravitate to these “character” type images.
