The original is an old very bad quality image which I shot probably in 2003. But even photos like this can get a nice touch with Topaz Studio - I think.

WHAT, PLEASE TELL, were your steps
Don, in Studio I used within Duotone the Fine marker drawing preset. I played around with contrast, increased exposure to make the boat lighter but masked the lighter color out of the rest of the image. Then added clarity which then only applied to the boat itself but not to the rest of the image.
