It seems as though it is out of proportion, seems to be at an unnatural position in the water and maybe too far out of the water. I would try to reduce the size, do a transformation to more upright and then use a blend mode or an edge blur to make is seem more natural.

I agree with Bob. The creature needs a little more lighting/contrast, but it is still a very nice comp you made.
