Free update for users of Capture One Pro 21. Style brushes. Large selection of style brushes with very low flow setting to slowly build up the effect. If you select the brush you want to use CO autmatically creates a new layer. If you think the effect was too strong you can lower the layer opacity.
Have only just begun to try this out but I have to say the subtle results are really nice.
