Using a Wacom Tablet

Better the nibs wear away than the (expensive!) surface get scraped off!!!

Jack, you can replace the surface. Purchase a smooth one. The nibs like that much better.

I have a XP-Pen Deco 03 wireless drawing tablet , which is nicely sized and has programmable buttons along the side and and on the stylus.

The stylus itself is pretty awesome, too. Besides the couple of buttons you can set to do whatever you want , a soft ergonomic grip and pressure sensitivity, of course, and interchangeable nibs and it doesn’t need charging or anything. The surface of the tablet feels more like drawing on paper than a glossy screen. It works beautifully on my computer, though, both back when I was on Windows 10 and on the new machine running Mac OS.

It’s good for me for retouching, especially in lightroom with the adjustment brushes, or photoshop when cloning things or healing faces
just depends on how much editing you go through and of what.
