We have a bunch of these growing on the rock wall surrounding our outdoor shower. Because it has been raining a lot lately they all seem to be exceptionally healthy. Its funny how you can look at something everyday and not really “see” it until something changes, for the better or for the worse. Wikipedia notes that Tillandsia is a genus of around 650 species of evergreen, perennial flowering plants in the family Bromeliaceae, native to the forests, mountains and deserts of Central and South America, the southern United States and the West Indies.
